So many servicemembers start their careers at one of the U.S. Service Academies: United States Air Force Academy, Colorado (USAFA), United States Military Academy, New York (West Point or USMA), United States Naval Academy, Maryland (USNA), United States Coast Guard Academy, Connecticut (USCGA), and the United States Merchant Marine Academy, New York (USMMA).
Cadets at our service academies are placed into extremely high-pressured situations for years in a row while growing as young adults. They must follow the Uniform Code of Military Justice and all the specific rules and regulations placed on them by their academy. They need a lawyer who understands military cadet defense.
Allegations raised against cadets can be life altering. Cadets facing allegations don’t just need a military attorney–they need a military attorney that understands academy life.
Mr. Tolin began his Air Force JAG career stationed at Headquarters, USAFA. He has prosecuted and defended cadets and provided legal advice to the Superintendent, Commandant of Cadets, and Dean of Faculty concerning criminal allegations. He’s seen high-visibility cases from all angles. He understands the uniqueness and the real-life consequences that range from jail to recoupment of education costs.
