Tim Bilecki – Courtroom Victory with Joshua Tolin

Joshua Tolin was selected to join the team led by Mr. Tim Bilecki to represent a combat-tested Non-commissioned officer client facing general court-martial to serve as Individual Military Defense Counsel (IMDC or IMC). Under Article 31, UCMJ, service members are not only entitled to the (usually fairly inexperienced) military counsel detailed to them, but they can choose an experienced military counsel if that person is reasonably available.

Facing multiple alleged victims, each with their own litigation risks, Mr. Bilecki and Mr. Tolin created a strategy to address certain issues at the Article 32, UCMJ, preliminary hearing. After one hearing at Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico, the military judge preliminary hearing officer recommended dismissal of the actually preferred allegations, and this NCO was able to get on with his life without the threat of criminal conviction or sex-offender registry hanging over him.

“Mr. Tolin embodies what everyone looks for in an attorney, brilliance. He took my case during his time in the military as a Senior Defense Council. Regardless of being overtasked and over demanded, he chose to represent me when I needed someone most. During my time working with him, client focus was always his highest priority. He constantly ensured I was updated, informed, and prepared to tackle the next challenge with the utmost confidence. The ability for him to take complex topics and simplify them showed his remarkable proficiency in military law. When Mr. Tolin said he was going to do something, it got done ahead of deadlines and above expectations. He managed to turn countless sleepless nights and fear of the unknown into confidence and control. As a former USAF officer, attorney, and man, Joshua Tolin strives for perfection in all that he does. I am forever in his debt and will always recommend him to anybody in need of a brilliant attorney.
